Removing abandoned car from private parking area

Borrow a trolley jack with large-ish wheels. Lift the car's front wheels off the ground. Then push car while using trolley jack to steer.

While you are doing that make sure the car falls off the jack and lands on your foot when a jack wheel inevitably gets stuck in a crack, day made!

Using a jack to do that only works on a nice smooth level workshop floor, trying that in a paved uneven parking lot and needing to move a fair distance is just asking for the ER. The wheel trollies on the other hand are easy to use and very safe.

Ok, I have my best idea yet. Just put an advert on gumtree saying there is an abandoned car on your property and it is free for anyone to come and take it, so long as they can take it away.
See post #2. :p

The owner has been found, he is in the Eastern Cape. He sent a friend with a key. This friend tried to start it but of course there is no battery

I lent him a foot pump to inflate the tyre. This took the best part of a day. Then he and the handyman pushed it into the street. On the way they managed to steer it into a wall and scraped the front wing and door.

It has been standing in the street for 7 days. I called Metro Police who came within 30 mins. They marked the tyre and the road with some chalk. I was told that if the car was still in the same spot by 26th April it would be removed by Council's breakdown service

The tenant has calmed down now and I have been forgiven for his break-in

Did the owner reveal why the car has been left there in the first place? Did he at least apologized for taking up someone’s space?

It is the responsibility of the property management group to issue warnings and having the vehicle removed.
At one of my apartments we have multiple allocated parking bays. My new tenants only have one vehicle. Sadly some clever fart parked his broken van there and refused to move it. The body corp had it towed within a week. The vehicle owner threatened to sue but nothing came of it since he had no foot to stand on.

Could've fit the spare wheel in no time instead of getting fit all day.

But then again, what are the odds that a car on the African continent has an inflated spare wheel?

As a result, the tenant has to park his car in the street. It has been broken into 4 times and was stolen yesterday

Hmmmm... forgiven for one of the break-ins.

Small steps and all that, I guess.

In time, all will be forgiven.

Hopefully...

The tenant forgave you f9r the break-in, yet his car was stolen?

Is this another of those Christmas tree lies, @chrisc?

Body Corporate tows away special-purpose vehicle of double amputee man who cannot afford prosthetics or lawyer, according to human rights watch group
Not sure if this is legit. But no this was not the case with us.
Anyways if I'm paying for extra parking even if it os not utilized then I will have the vehicles removed. Unless said person makes special arrangements with me or my tenant then I don't mind.

Kindly redirect me to the Take a moment take a picture thread I'd like to post something there

I'm mildly curious to know what kind of person just abandons their Scooby in some rando's parking space.

I mean they're somewhat heavy on fuel, but otherwise nice, times must have been really tough to drive someone to do that.
