There is a very good reason the Shosholoza Meyl is being revived, the bus is just no longer good enough.

Remember, it’s a revolutionary minority movement amongst mostly middle and upper classes. Knowledge, wisdom and foresight is simply not something held by the uneducated masses. People are also still high on the rainbow nation dream, and clever DA tactics & misinformation.

Cape Independence got over 20,000 votes in the previous (local) election (and gained two seats/councillors in council) which has lower turnout than national.

Their exclusion this time – on the ridiculous basis of submitting signatures to the IEC in the incorrect format – led to votes being split and going to VF+, CCC, DA, etc. I did expect RP to get more than their +-5k, but they’re an unknown party and had very few posters, etc.

I have never encountered a person in Cape Town against Cape Independence.

Gratefully, most people with the means to enter and reside in our land, do so via private transport – namely sedans and SUVs.

Not for long after having a taste of the good stuff. Either way, DA with their federalist approach or CIP/VF+/RP etc. with their more revolutionary approach – we are all winners.

I saw an Angolan Air Force IL-76TD here few days ago. It can move decent amount of payload quicker.

Which numbers exactly are you putting faith in? Considering CIP weren’t on the ballots? Please don’t tell me you’re equating signatures with ballots…
