Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026

Seems that is what people are saying.

Takealot does not count IIRC.

You could do R5 airtime for someone in need and then a small amount for Lotto, or what about a Google Play Store voucher, or maybe a Steam voucher.

edit: Thanks for airborne for the reminder, I usually do the R5 airtime on my FNB sim. I won't say no to 35 (very cheap) minutes.
Does the airtime count for any network listed there or limited to FNB airtime? I don't see any such a limitation in the rules.

Turns out I messed up the 10 debit orders thing. Ay.
You can set up small debit orders to certain charities so you know that you'd at least get those points.

10x R10 debit orders costs R100. Not reaching level 5 costs far more.
It's 10 debit transactions, not only debit orders:
1. Qualifying debit transactions

  • Qualifying debit transactions include cash withdrawals at ATM, Branch or Cash@Till®, cardless cash withdrawals, Debit card purchases, electronic and manual payments, eWallet and Money Transfer, internal and external debit orders, prepaid purchases (airtime, electricity and pay TV license) and LOTTO/Powerball purchases.
  • Qualifying debit transactions exclude account fees and interest charges, ATM, Branch and eChannel transfers, Bank Your Change™ transfers, cash deposits at Branch and ATM and convenience and value-added services (electronic subscription services, balance alerts, payment notifications, card courier fee, PayShap/Instant Payments as well as Pay and Clear Now)
How do you manage to have fewer than 10 transactions in a month, unless you're not actively using the account.

easily... they have spent years forcing us to use our virtual credit card, and chase smart spend that i literally never use my debit card... now i have to actively remember to use it if a grab a coffee or something to make sure i hit the 10 per month, otherwise i would def miss the number.

Sure, but it seems they do not make enough already. Manufacturing debit orders plays by FNB's rules and gives a failsafe no matter what.

I have never used my debit card whether physical or virtual. Virtual CC spend are easy points for eBucks leveling. Try to avoid risking it.

What would I have done differently here that I did not maximise this spend this month?

According to me, I’ve done everything the same since December and always maxed out … expect this month I’ve lost money somewhere.

Level 5 and use my virtual card details for asap!
