never felt a wind or driving rain so strong, thought its apocalyptic almost how strong it wasThis is a proper Cape storm.
It doesn't happen like this every year so it is rare. Whenever it does happen its a complete stuff up.
Usually its the wind or the rain acting up. Mind you this is not strong wind, I think there are some big gusts but the wind is moderate. A full on wind storm you have 50km\h blowing.
Sir you can't park there.Die-hard family here. Son at school and daughter has had her swimming lesson. Loved being in the rain too.
Dad now having fun driving around. Can’t recall a Cape Storm like this ever.
Pics of Wynberg and Tokai…
dont blow away now in their weather, chevrolegs or not.I need to maintain a minimum steps per day & today will be hard af to reach that.
Come just before lunch & I will be braving the elements with my Chevrolegs & beanie for a cheap chow.
If you don't hear back from me at some point consider me MIA![]()
Those guys have zero sense of self preservation.
Terrifying and comical at the same timeDie-hard family here. Son at school and daughter has had her swimming lesson. Loved being in the rain too.

Flight Radar says it's a perfectly normal day.how is Air traffic into CPT today, no way in hell are aircraft landing taking off in this storm.
sure there must be massive delays/diverts going on right now

It's an el-niño year, so winter weather is usually more severe in CT. Back in the day it wasn't unusual to not be able to walk three steps forward in 20 minutes with wind gusts so ridiculous. This seems like a lot, bit only because the weather has been fairly mild in recent years..... It's going to be a hell of a winter thoughnever felt a wind or driving rain so strong, thought its apocalyptic almost how strong it was
went out earlier to get some groceries, not nice outside, JHB never had weather like this ever in living memory, and I helped with the clean up of a PTA tornado once.
thats makes no sense, would expect there to be delays and diverts and missed approaches aplentyFlight Radar says it's a perfectly normal day.
and right on queue the finely tuned machine starts taking some strain,A ground stop for departing aircraft was issued about half an hour ago.
Expectation is wind gusts will pick up to 150km at the airport. So prevention is better than disaster.A ground stop for departing aircraft was issued about half an hour ago.
I thought I was going to take off with how hard the wind was blowing, never seen a storm in living memory this badIt's an el-niño year, so winter weather is usually more severe in CT. now we wait to hear what crazy delays people experience or where planes end up landing in this weather.
If you look at YR's windmap it looks like we're getting the outskirts of a cyclone that's centered south east off the southern coast.....so you might be right.dont blow away now in their weather, chevrolegs or not.
honestly feels like a cyclone that made it this far south and nobody can explain it.
