Yes, it's possible to DIY.. is it easy, not so much.. getting smooth walls is one thing, but getting them flat and even is another..is it easy to fix stucco walls with skim coating? I saw this video explaining it and it looks easy. Is it possible to do myself?

@undesign I see you made a post about this in 2021 but your walls were purposely textured! Not like mine, did you get someone in to fix those walls? Or did you do them yourself? Mine look like thisno it is not easy, easy to make a mess, hard to do right.
Can someone please tell me why geysers are so expensive? The plumber that installed mine would only use a copper one
You are going to pay much more for a copper geyser and copper is not cheap. Can someone please tell me why geysers are so expensive? The plumber that installed mine would only use a copper one
The plumber said he would only use the copper geyser and yes insurance did pay but only a certain amount not the full amountYou are going to pay much more for a copper geyser and copper is not cheap.
Why would you need a new geyser if your geyser is only tripping the power?
Plumber probably thought there is a dumbass in front of him.
With enamel you will have to sand to get a good key for the new paint.. the enamel is too smooth otherwise for new paint to adhere properly..Hi all, I have a question related to the repainting of doors and door frames. The frames are the old steel ones and painted in a gloss enamel. I'd like to use a water based enamel paint due to the reduced VOC's but I'm not sure what prep work, if any is required? If I don't have to sand it down to roughen the surface that would be great as the doors have a lot of grooves and detail on it that I won't be able to get in to.
I assumed as much. I don't mind the labour, it is only a few doors. Its more the detail on the door that I did not want to deal with. I'll try one of those sponge sanding pads and see how it goes. With enamel you will have to sand to get a good key for the new paint.. the enamel is too smooth otherwise for new paint to adhere properly..
Can always go around to builders, pickup someone for the day to sand the doors for you..
Yeah the foam pads should be easier to get in there, depending how fine the detail is and should be more than enough to get a good key going..I assumed as much. I freakin hate these things. When I did my renovation I ripped all of them out and put in timber frames. The frames are the old steel ones and painted in a gloss enamel.
LOL thats even worse. I should have installed aluminium when I build the house and not these wooden frames.I freakin hate these things. When I did my renovation I ripped all of them out and put in timber frames.
