The Home Improvements Thread (3)

Its been quite in here - rains this weekend show I still have water getting into the electricals - never ****ing ends. A

And my roof sprung a small leak - fortunately nothing major - and in a weird spot I've had problems with for over 10 years - time to test EcoRubbers warranty.

--- unrelated.

Where would you get these sort of nylon rollers in custom sizes? I'm wanting to try something I'm not sure will work I still have to measure, but the outer diameter is about 6cm length x 1.5-2cm diameter- with a bolt going through the center to mount it.

Currently using what seem to be small plastic rollers

Check a website called castor and ladders, they sell nylon trolley and pallet jack wheels, might have something in the size you need.. also check Temu/AliExpress, who also have a variety of options..

Well its probably either the Thermostat that is cheap and easy to change yourself or the element, that is not so easy.
But since you say you cant get to it, why even post? Call your insurance or a plumber. Or if you rent the landlord or estate agent.

planning a 12m x 4.5m pergoda for my backyard intertainment area.

I'm guessing I need formal plans drawn up for the municiplality etc.

any recomendations for a local architech near Burgundy Estates area Cape Town?

Are you doing the job yourself? I used Awn Master many years ago and the drawing plus submission to Council was part of their "job".

If you find one that actually completes everything they say they will, please let me know..

I have been through 4 of these people now, none actually finished anything.. Two never started drawing anything, the other two actually finished the plans, said they would submit, but that didn't actually happen..

I've heard good things but don't have experience:

Maybe another option:

Working with city council probably convinced these guys to rather pursue other careers.
