Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra

My current cover is starting to wear down.

Anyone have nice recommendation for screen protector and cover for the S24U. The phone is still so nice so planning on keeping it for another while
I've had this cover since I got my phone in January 2024 and it still looks great:

Also have these camera protectors from the same order:

Been very happy with them. The Magsafe has also been quite handy.

Had sone issues on my s24u whereby the charger would not charge the battery.

Kepy saying their was moisture or debris in the charge port despite is being clear.

Took it in to vodacom and they simply repaired it and said the phone "forgot" it had a charging port. The same happened so my s21 ultra at exactly the 2 year mark.

Very strange so keen to see if anyone else has had this issue?

Never heard of this, and never experienced this with my phones

take a small pin and use it to clean out the port. It used to happen on my S22U and after cleaning it with a pick and blowing in it that sorted it out.

Yeah i tried all the tricks to clean the port including isopropyl. There was nothing in the port but rather a software issue.

Haven't had this issue, but my phone did tell me my charger port is wet when I got attacked by a random wave in Bali lol. I just shook it out and left to dry and it "fixed" itself.

Has the Call Recording feature and Smart Call (caller ID) been added for South African csc region (XFA) ? If so, does anybody know in which One UI update this was added?

How much did Vodacom charge for this?

I have the issue where its charging but not fast charging - had the moisture notification (phone was too close to the pool while swimming)

Cleaned the port with a pin and fast charging worked again but not all the time.

Just got the UI8.5 update on S24 Ultra

yep - its becoming commonplace now - the S25 and S24 series flagships are getting it now and hopefully soon the FE models too and then its going to spread down to the S23 and S22 range soon - in the S21 range only the S21FE is due to get it because of launch dates - but the rest of the S21 range has completed its 4 generation update cycle

you wont use it as is for long though - One UI9 beta is already rolling out for the S26 series - so in a couple of months you should see OneUI9 stable .... and there are changes that apparently the Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy are going to introduce first as far as Android 17 goes so One UI9 is definitely going to release in a hurry according to those claims by Google
