The Tools and other D.I.Y bargains thread

I also wanted one and got a chance to use it but it’s nothing like the Milwaukee cordless ratchet that everyone on YouTube uses.
In defense of the TT/Ingco ratchet - that Milwaukee is $330 (R5.5k). I'm happy with mine. Sure it could be lighter and smaller but it can still get to 90% of the fasteners a smaller one could and it really does save my energy on the easy ones to use on the more challenging ones. I also bought a 2Ah battery specifically for it to make it a little lighter.

But it’s so big might as well just use the Impact driver or do you have a special use case for it?

Are both models big..? I see there is one where the battery attaches like a normal cordless drill or impact would and the other one the battery attaches completely flat, parallel to the tool itself.. That seems slightly better than the latter..

Working on cars there often isn't much distance between the bolt head and something else, so depth behind the socket is important. I did all the brake pads on my hatchback this weekend and found it great for getting the sliding pin bolts out. Wouldn't have been able to get my 1/2" impact in there (but did use that to get the wheel nuts off) but the ratchet fitted neatly from below.

I fell off the new tool wagon hard..

In bosch pro I already had sds drill, hammer drill, impact driver and baby grinder

It is slightly slimmer at the head but it’s very unwieldy, for the few bolts my impact driver can't reach I’ll just do by hand.

An interesting thing is impact drivers are still pretty effective even when using universal socket joints so there's not many things they can't reach and for everything else there's a spanner or socket set.

No? Linky? I showed my local Build-it a sold out special I found and they matched the price and brought it from another branch.

Someone complained when I used "screen prints". What is the consensus?
Use a screenshot tool that allows you to make a selection of exactly what you want to share instead of the entire screen or taking a picture of the screen with your phone..
