Currently bouncing between DCC Parade of Horribles, and Notes from a big country by Bill Bryson.

I really didnt enjoy DCC Parade, not sure why, but felt like a chore to get through

My wife loved it, I'm still pretty early on in it, just after the first race, but I'm already not too keen on the Mario kart type stuff but I'll wait and see.

Read Ken Follet’s Kingsbridge series. Pretty much the opposite of my usual sci-fi.

Dark Tower series by Steven King now.

Quite enjoyable.

Tonight I finish the lonesome dove 30 pages left.

With a glass of bourbon which seemed an appropriate way to close this off.

It's been a heck of a journey!

I've heard Lonesome Dove is really good, but I got so very bored reading it.

Finished it off last night.

It lives up to the hype and thoroughly enjoyed it.

first 100-150 pages are slow but didnt find that off putting if you expect it it makes the read easier well worth the effort IMO.

Now onto a light read

It's not that I can't read Afrikaans, it's just frustrating.

I read English a line at a time. Afrikaans is word for word.

Thanks for the recommendation on the 4MK series. I started it yesterday after finishing Razorblade Tears by S A Cosby.

So far a great start to a book.

Finished The Fourth Monkey, very good read, fast paced, dark and keeps you thinking.

Have started the next book, The Fifth to Die, so far great reading.
