Woolworths Credit Card

The Cashback rules are changing:

4. How you earn cashback

4.1. You earn Cashback when you spend using your Card, according to your allocated Earn rate. Earn Rates are only allocated to primary cardholders.

4.2. Your Earn rate range is personalised and determined each quarter. Your Earn rate will fall within the following percentage ranges:

4.2.1. Credit Card spend at Woolworths Group stores, online and using the App: 1% – 10%.

4.2.2. Store Card spend at Woolworths Group stores, online and using the App: 0.2% – 2%.

4.2.3. Credit Card spend outside Woolworths Group stores: up to 0.5%.

4.2.4. You will always start the month at the minimum in the Earn rate range. The more Actions completed, the closer you will get to the maximum in the Earn rate range.

4.3. If you have both a Woolworths Store Card and a Credit Card, only Your Credit Card spend will count towards your Cashback calculation. Your Earn rate for Outside-WW spend with your Credit Card will be 0.5%.

4.4. In addition, we will allocate personalised Actions to you at the end of each quarter. The more Actions you complete in a quarter, the higher your Earn rate range for the next quarter. We will inform you of your personalised Actions on a monthly basis in the App or WhatsApp.

4.5. Cashback is subject to the following caps and thresholds:

4.5.1. Cashback is capped at R2 000 per member per calendar month after which you earn at a rate of 0.5% for both Inside-WW spend and Outside-WW spend.

4.5.2. Utilities spend qualifying for Cashback is capped at R20 000 per month.

4.6. No cashback is earned on—

4.6.1. Cash withdrawals (ATMs, POS, bank counter);

4.6.2. Gambling or casino transactions;

4.6.3. EFT’s;

4.6.4. Fees and charges associated with your card;

4.6.5. Traveller’s cheques and foreign exchange;

4.6.6. Redeemed vouchers, cashback or gift cards; or

4.6.7. Pet Insurance, Personal Loan or any other non-card WFS product fees or premiums.

4.7. Spend by a Secondary cardholder counts towards the Primary cardholder’s Cashback earnings.

I see hoops to jump through which is not going to be cool.

At least the 2 free hot beverages per month are not being culled or I would be the moering having only just upgraded to black.

"4.1. You earn Cashback when you spend using your Card, according to your allocated Earn rate. Earn Rates are only allocated to primary cardholders."

So secondary card spend won't contribute to our Cashback earn?? If that's the case then there no point having a secondary card, either spend on the primary WW ccard or use another banks card.

Wrt to this cashback primary cardholder.

can one link a primary card to multipe nfc devices?

Because i might as well kill the secondary card and setup an nfc tap to pay on my phone (currently) and wifes phone.

Same card multiple NFC linking is possible because one legitimately needs to use NFC on a Smart watch and phone at the very least.

However they might insist to get the full earn at WW in-store one needs to use the physical credit card when paying.

That’s confusing. Why the the 2 points so contradictory?

Also what are the steps needed to get 10% back ?

I hope they don't mess with the two coffees every month, because that's the whole reason I got the card. If I have to start doing ebucks type exercises for them I'll be quite upset.

But even so, it has been quite handy having another credit card for those times FNB has had moments.
