I looked at the highlights of the Korea Czechia game and they both looked a LOT sharper. I don't see Mexico or Bafana doing well against either team.

The memes have been glorious, but jeez, we were abysmal. Maybe I've just been spoilt with league football, but it looked like a Sunday league team against a Premier league team. The passing was shocking, the spatial awareness non-existent. Everyone looked so unfit, too - not sure if it was the altitude (7000ft above sea level - JHB guys should've been fine). They've analysed the hell out of this, and everyone said the same thing: he literally has 1 player open to his right, and 2 to his left. He chose wrong, and we paid for it.

What I meant by our group being easy is that not a single team in our entire group is ranked top 10 in the world. We have no Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, England, Brazil, etc. Mexico is 14, South Korea 25, Czekia 40. Any of the top teams would have happily been in our group. Our group A and then Group B are the easy groups of this WC compared to all the others.

I’m not sure what you’d expect when half the country supports English teams.

You'd expect the players we have all over the country doing their best to try and play for those English teams, instead of sticking to the diski **** that only works in the PSL, and nowhere else in the world. Note how the best teams at the tournament all have players who play in Europe.

This is the criteria UEFA uses to appoint referees, the guy is on the FIFA international Referees list as it is the requirement, stop being so bitter about the man, he has done nothing to you.

This group is supposed to be a gift for Mexico so they can get an easy hop to the group stages.
