The UK has a similar problem with the Premier league, some games are on this one service and some on another.

Same with rugby in the UK. Split between Premier Sports, Sky, ITV, BBC, etc. Its a mess.
And why, although it's a hefty price for SA, DStv is comparatively cheap and we actually don't know how lucky we are.

Lucky if you can afford it which I can't.
As I said, it's expensive to us, but to US/Europe etc, it's a bit of a dream to have all of the sports together in one place for a relatively cheap price. They'd pay far more to watch even one sport. As @Lupus pointed out you need several subscriptions just to watch the EPL, never mind adding in different competitions like the Champions League and the Euros/World Cup etc.

Placed an order Thursday 7:30PM, DISPATCH Friday at 11:00.
Great so far....
Delivered 2:30, GREAT, wait where is my parcel?
The courier guy are famous for being super lazy, we have a concierge office at the estate where I stay, they somehow manage to get into the estate , and just dump my parcels there, with no authorizing to do so.
So it wasn't a total surprise, but they did provide me with a PIN so I thought as long as I have the PIn surely they will only deliver it to me,right?wrong.
I called amazon support and the response was "I can not call the courier company" but I can send you a new parcel.
I also want to say in this regards, this is not a new issue and aramax are famous for this as well but this NEVER happened with takealot.

You can get an HD box with free dish and installation etc for R799. Why would you continue to fsck about with the streaming platform which we all know is pants? You've told us often enough ffs.

Have dishwasher food for the next 9 months and enjoying streaming Clarksons Farm instead of downloading it in torrent form.
Bring on that R399 annual payment.
Normal price is $15 which in real terms is worth about R100. Some people can get it for about half the price. But you get cloud gaming and a bigger catalogue of movies and all the US products.
I grabbed some 30% off "Everyday Essentials" on Saturday morning and it was delivered just after lunchtime, by Picup. I used Amazon for household consumables before Prime but the extra discount was nice.

South Africa’s very first Amazon Prime Day is officially running from June 23 to June 29, 2026 on Amazon South Africa.
So, we subscribed - mainly for Prime Video.
Got hooked on watching old series of Masterchef AU (Season 1). Have never seen these until now.
So lo-and-behold, about 20 episodes in, and suddenly an important episode is flagged as "not available in your region". We assume they messed something up, so skip it and go on with the rest of the season.
What do you know, get to episode 27 and it is AGAIN missing. Start looking through the catalogue and find at least 16 of the remaining episodes are also unavailable. And now several of the ones we already watched are ALSO no longer viewable! Looked at S02 and also spotted one missing (didn't even look any further).
Contacted Amazon Support, and except for a boilerplate "licencing restrictions and bla bla sublicenced bla bla" I got nowhere with them yet.
How is this possible that one would licence only 60% of a season of something for your service? It is completely false advertising - either you have it, or you don't. I don't have any intention of paying for "half" seasons of a series - who would?
Is this a "thing" with Prime Video? Has anyone encountered something similar with another series before?

The series is still there though - no indication that it has "expired". It is just that some episodes are not viewable. (And not a contiguous block of them either - like 1 or two here and there. Very strange.)
