Choking implies that you had a position of strength at some point but then let it slip to lose. At no point in this game did the Bulls have the upper hand. Totally outplayed. Yes, a lot of bad luck, iffy calls and 2 disallowed tries did not help. But even then Leinster were just so much better in all departments. Discipline was a big problem. You can't be playing with 14 men for 20mins in such a tough game. As for the Springboks in this team, they should be ashamed of their performance last night.Four finals and all losses. Overall a bit chokery. Wont say they choked in this game though.

It is fast becoming as intriguing a contest as the URC final was... it's a shame really. One sided finals is probably not what one would script... it is what it is....The wind in this SRP final is chaos
Likewise, a true and honest assessement.Very well summed up.
The final was disappointing, from a Bulls perspective, for so many reasons...
1.) lineouts atrocious
2.) legends didn't fire
3.) yellow cards for the same reasons as against Glasgow, lessons not learnt
4.) Inability to take the play through more than 5 phases without making errors and/or giving away posession
5.) defense continues to be leaky
6.) did not get their fare share of the 50/50s, particularly the 2 disallowed tries
7.) the score line was a fair reflection of the game (slightly contradictory given 6)
Anyway, overall a satisfactory campaign for the South African franchises. 3 sides in the quarters, 2 in the semis and a losing finalist.
What continues to be concerning is the inability of South African sides to control possession through multiple phases. We have, undoubtedly, the most physical specimens in world rugby, proper set piece bullies but against the top sides you need more than that.
SRP simply saying anything URC can do, they can do betterIt is fast becoming as intriguing a contest as the URC final was... it's a shame really. One sided finals is probably not what one would script... it is what it is....
Well The Bulls had a home final in '24 and botched that also so it doesn't realy matter where they play the finals. While watching the game and looking at the coaching trio of both teams on camera you could see the difference between international class and currie cup class.Congrats Leinster - worthy champions.
The less said about this pathetic performance from the Bulls the better, I did not expect this.
Let this be a lesson to all our URC/Champions Cup teams - finish top of the table and have home play-off games. We can't be traveling away. Even in the days of Superugby - our teams battled every time we had to travel. Home ground advantage is a real thing.
True in some parts. I don't have the stats to prove it but I would bet a guess that more often than not, home teams do better in play-off games.Well The Bulls had a home final in '24 and botched that also so it doesn't realy matter where they play the finals. Its more like SA D to be fairSurely SA A can't lose against Zimbabwe right.
Very rusty start with some exciting bits in between though.
Colby struggling a bit to tackle some of those fatties. That unlike him.
