I'm stoked, I managed to buy one of the DSTV HD decoders on the R299 special today, and connected it at home and got it activated by DSTV (amazingly their call centre works seven days a week). All now ready for the soccer, with no worries about DSTV Stream losing connection.

I have DStv Compact + YouTube Premium + F1TV. I've been watching the games on DStv Stream. I can tell that Multichoice's system gets strained to the max when this happens, every now and then the quality drops and sometimes you have to switch channels a couple times to get the match stream. However, I've been enjoying it

South Africa has a good chance of winning. Not sure if it true but I heard Canada has never won a match outside of Canada in their whole history. Meaning if they win, South Africa will be the first team Canada a has beaten outside Canada. Canada's weather is very different to hotter climate which they will be playing in meaning they will have to adjust more than SA who have played in a hot climate in their group games.

As a South African you got to feel confident seeing Canada's 0% winning historical record

Yeah, African teams have withstood the heat pretty easily. I think Canada might battle a bit.

Canada were playing pretty well, but I think we have the spirit and talent to beat them. Also our defence of late looks nice and solid. We stand a very good shot at beating them.

Someone on this forum called the England team “Africa” the other day. It seemed they were upset about the composition of the team but I’m not sure since they probably wouldn’t have even qualified without the “African” players anyway. Same with someone else who complained about France. But anyhow…
