Vumatel Fibre + ISP for IPv6

Weird, I have IPv6 enabled and configured for DHCPv6/SLAAC, but I'm not receiving an IPv6 address or prefix. I'm in the Durbanville area. Is that the correct configuration, or is there something else I should be checking?

Are you on Afrihost? If yes check with @Afrigirl There were some issues with some packages that were fixed.

We had to let go of @GazShell, and the line was officially released this morning.

Unfortunately, we were unable to provide IPv6 due to ongoing issues with Vumatel's IP allocation process. The client urgently required IPv6 connectivity for work related purposes and could not wait for the issue to be resolved.

So far Afrihost is the only ISP that has IPv6 on Vumatel AE.

Its supported across the majority of the network already. Vumatel Active is a limitation from Vumatel (or more so was one). The Vumatel pon and layer2 portion we support v6 already.

If Afrihost can support it on AE, and CoolIdeas can support it elsewhere, what is the difference?

Vumatel used Afrihost as the first ISP to test v6. We are fully deployed as well but Vumatel are having issues in deploying completely themselves across AE.

So technically the AE infrastructure supports v6 now? Just waiting for Vuma to sort out there issues first.

Metrofibre Networx - All new Layer3 business services are being configured with IPv4 & IPv6 now pretty much. That's for On-Net services over their fibre with MFN as ISP . Not sure if it can be done over every 3rd party provider yet... Not even sure how many people even use it but it is configured.
