I mean with all due to respect to us armchair refs and spectators, what makes you think that? His teams grind the win, it may not be perfect, but if there is anything we have learned, is that there is a method to his madness (genius!) that many of us will never get and it only becomes clear to us 1 year down the line..

Rassie isn't doing it because of tactics he has to blood new players and give them match experience and caps under their belt before the world cup. Rassie doesn't mind losing a game or two or even playing badly it is very much needed before the world cup next year.

Plus the up coming all black tour which is a total of 9 games, sharks, stormers the bulls and the boks.

So yeah it seems a little odd but rassie knows exactly what he is doing.
