Yeah, that's kind of the thing, I guess.: once in a blue moon an actual fascist pops up, kills dozens of people, the world is shocked, and massive reforms come in so it can't ever happen again.

Another Islamist goes on a rampage? Oh, it's just a Tuesday. Change anything? Nah, just bring more of them in.

And if we're going to discuss the "imminent threat" of the right/far-right/ze Nazis (read: literally anyone who doesn't want to have their daughters gang-raped my migrants from backward countries) that we're constantly having drummed into our heads, out of the 43000 individuals on MI5's watchlist in the UK, 39000 are Islamists - that's 90.6%. They only make up 6.5% of the population (according to 2021 census stats - probably doubled by now). Ze Nazis fall into the remaining 4000 with the rest.

I've never argued that the majority of these tragic events aren't carried out by Islamists. The way some carry on here, you'd think that they all are. My issue is mostly with cynical politicians getting the masses riled up and rioting in order to gain votes out of the situation - grifters like Farage are a classic example. He has no desire to fix anything, but every desire to profit from it.

It would also be nice if idiots like Musk spent more time sorting out his own back yard. There are weekly mass shootings in Yanksville and no-one gives a toss, because they're not Muslimists. Just this past weekend there was another shooting at a food market in Seattle with three fatalities and a whole lot of injuries, but no-one gives a damn.

It would also help if the US would stop bombing the crap out of the source countries and causing the refugee problem in the first place.

I don't often agree with you, but I'm happy to agree here.

I find it bizarre that this idiot had served a prison sentence in Lebanon and authorities were aware that he had solid ties to IS, yet he was still allowed to roam freely.

I can't see how that makes sense at all.

In too many cases it seems the authorities have become the terrorists.

Until recently they required you to give up your other citizenship when you naturalised. So that won't be easy at all.
