Woolworths Credit Card

I'm not bothering to jump through hoops as I do that with ebucks. Couldn't really care less about what percentage cash back I get.

I got my card for the coffee discounts and that's really still what I use it for LOL. Everything else is a bonus

3.82 back? So you get R191 on R5K of spending? Oof. And I thought FNB eBucks rewards were low.

Create a pretty graph and some people will jump through any hoops for crumbs. Or is there some other big Woolies drawcard I'm not seeing?
The only thing that makes the WW credit card worth it (for me at least) is the fact that its balance can be settled in-store with another credit card.

I channel everything I can (including subscriptions, utility bills etc) through my WW credit card. I get the measly 3.82% back in WW cashback but then, once or twice a month, I pay the outstanding balance with my RMB credit card and get eBucks on top of the WW cashback.

The value has greatly diminished with their new loyalty programme though - cashback is capped at R2k and utility bill payments are capped at R20k. I was excited about the promised ‘up to 10%’ cashback but I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to that level - my goals for next month still give me 3.82% max.

The free coffees are nice but they basically cover the monthly account fee.

Also the only CC that you can pay off with paper in store and not be charged a %

Yes, without trying I am meeting the requirements for the 5 hoops. Might as well get 3.82% for WW purchases, or 25% back for healthy food via Vitality. WW black card is not my primary card, I use it for WW stuff and for things I don't want to put through my FNB credit card.

Then there's the 2x free coffees but admittedly we forget or don't have time to redeem them in some months.

Did anyone get goals this month to increase their earn rate for next month.

My potential cashback range for September is the the same as what it was August and I have to meet all goals just to maintain my earn rate.

This feels like a bug?

Same goals as last month and same max achievable earn rate for next month. I really thought the earn rate was going to be locked in quarterly but I guess not

From the AI search results it sounds like the max achievable earn rate range is locked in quarterly but we have to achieve it each month.
Under the MyDifference PLUS loyalty rules, your Earn rate range (the min-to-max percentage you can achieve) is set for the quarter, but your actual starting percentage resets at the start of every month. You always begin each month at the minimum rate of that range and must complete monthly actions or tasks to climb back up to your maximum potential earn rate.

Quarterly Range: Woolworths looks at your past behavior each quarter to decide your personal minimum and maximum earn rate percentage (which can go up to 10% for credit cards).

Seems like 3-4 free coffees offered this month.

On the Money tab it shows 3 expiring 29 August and one expiring 16 December.

However when I go to the Loyalty tab it only shows the 3 August ones.

Is it not 2 coffees monthly?

Do Google Wallet taps count?

I did a WW Food shop on Sunday as part of my goal and decided to tap my WW card via Google Wallet on my phone. I now see that spend still hasn't shown under loyalty and the last 4 digits of the card number on my slip is different to my card and account number.

Did I just lose that spend via a rookie mistake?

Anybody use their WW card through Google Wallet on their phone to pay in store and confirm they receive the rewards for it?

Not google but I use my card exclusively through apple pay without issues. I do also scan my rewards card from the wallet as well. Last month it picked up the 5 food shops and the spend correctly. In the past I've noticed the till slip doesn't match the card number as you said, it came up when I did returns and someone at Woolies said that's what happens when we pay via the card on the phone.

It does work. I only use my phone and unfortunately lose out on a bunch of the extra discounts (25% off milk you need physical card).

Last month I hit all 5 tasks.

Thanks for confirming, I'll give it more time to show up in my loyalty tab

Just make absolutely sure that the MyDifference Card is the one linked to the CC. You can add it to your Google wallet through the WW app.

For the Google Wallet vs physical card thing, it seems that the extra discount for Coffees doesn't work with Google wallet cards. The barista and me tried a few times and it just rejects the extra discount. So since then I've been carrying my card around for coffees like it's the 1990s.

Everything else (except that 25% discount on milk) seems to be fine with tapping with google wallet.

Its only the 5% that you're missing out on, you'll still get 10% off via wrewards for the coffees

One of the three August vouchers disappeared now when we were redeeming.

Seems like some bugs in the system, first with the there not there December voucher and now one August voucher gone!
