MyBB'ers in the United Kingdom & Ireland

Exactly. It's very unusual for a London stabbing not to be posted in the other thread.

Perhaps because the perp wasn't a patron of the snack bar.
90% of London stabbings are black on black. Why would people care if it's not an attack by "an other"? Though, more effort would've been appreciated, because she's Romanian. 🤣

Anyway, this is not that thread. Back to your usual programming.

Serious vape addict as well.... even took a drag as she was being wrestled to the ground

Just a bit weird that it wasn't posted straight away.

It's rather obvious why that is.

I was missed off the initial callup to this thread.
recap of my life here: Shiny wearing off after 30 years.

Reminds me of the time I could smell gas in the old flats we used to live in. We were on the third floor, and I used to get random whiffs of gas coming through the office/spare room window. One day, it was just constant, so I phoned the emergency gas number, and they sent out a guy. His meter picked up a leak near the gas meters, and about 30mins later some foreman type showed up with three more guys. Went and spoke to him, and he was like "there's no way you could've smelt it, it's probably just the boiler". Luckily my autistic sense of smell was around that day, because the leak was in fact massive and they had to dig up the parking to fix it.

We are doing 4 cities in 4 weeks.
Cape Town - Dad
Middelburg - In-Laws
Durban - Mom
Pretoria - Gran, Aunt & uncle

My family is the reason we have to do so much travelling... In-Laws are all in Middelburg which makes life easier.

Multiple fights, living out of suitcases that are crammed into rental cars, and moving on from accommodation to accommodation. I did this exactly once and it was absolutely exhausting, worst part is I had to pay to be in discomfort. F0K dit.

Im taking a bit of a different approach these days: "Hi dear family member, Ill be in X city soon. Im letting you know well in advance, it will be nice to see you on Y day. Im so sorry, Ive already traveled thousands of kilometers, I cant make it to Bloem this time, but you are welcome to come see me"

Quite something that the occupant and his dog survived that. Like the way the community pulled together to lend a helping hand too.

We fly into CPT and then fly to JHB. Drive from JHB to Middleburg, then drive to Durban, and then drive to Pretoria. The secret is, we will be dropping off some suitcases at family in Pretoria so we are lugging around unnecessary luggage. The accommodation is all free, but I have told family that it is unlikely we will be able to do a similar tour any time soon just because we cant expect our employers to be happy with us ****ing off for 4 weeks every year.

God speed brother, may you be blessed with endless patience 🫡

I was here for the near-total in 1999 as well. It was quite eerie - obviously not as awesome as totality, but the quality of the sunlight was noticeably weaker.

I'm OK. I have an old pair of glasses from one of those 3D movies back in the day... 😎

In other news, can anyone recommend a good opthalmologist and perhaps a Labrador breeder?
