Mentoring the young guys. I don't see him getting much game time, but he'll bring a lot of value behind the scenes

He will be on the bench for that swiss army knife roll.

Bench: 16 Jaundre Schoeman, 17 Sti Sithole, 18 Khuta Mchunu, 19 Reinhardt Ludwig, 20 Mpilo Gumede, 21 Paul de Wet, 22 Katlego Letebele, 23 Hakeem Kunene.

Decent side given the players resources available. Not expecting a win but definitely not 54-0 either... tight 5 and the bench might battle but the rest can make life uncomfortable for NZ...

Not a bad team. Should put up a better fight than the Tunas.

Imagine the Bulls pop that happy cherry of theirs lol, I'm actually 50/50 on this one - just depends the fitness and the "will "to win.

Rudolph hopefully get's in there under that AB skin.

Hell, it would be great!!

Definitely a side that can challenge.

But for me it's 75/25 in favour of the AB's. Having said that, we don't have a NZ team sheet yet...

Yes, I was impressed with Rueben Love on Tuesday night. General play was good and his conversions in bad conditions in Durban and the acute angles were top class. The boy can kick! Has not seen much of him but the man clearly has talent.

Problem is what does Rennie do, play B or C players and have a risk of a loss or play the guys that need match fitness and risk that injury - the Bulls play rough, it's not tea and cake at Loftus.

Boks right around the corner now.

I think Rennie is going hard, close to starting XV... very risky. 2 home already, Dmac coming off early against SRC, Cody still nursing a niggle, Cam wrapped in cottonwool, only 3 - 9s on tour...

This is the challenge of touring but the NZ's are a tough bunch... Won't shy away from the challenge... and Rennie in particular, demands a lot from his players in terms of breakdown physicality and tempo. His game plan is quite severe on the players, as well as pushing legal boundaries at the breakdowns. Rennie coached sides are heavily penalized...

The Lions are sitting pretty to be honest, they have a mid week game against them after the first test ?

Yeah, hardly any Bok call-up's. Between test 1 and 2 so will be very few AB starters in the midweek 23.... At Ellis Park, where the Lions love to play. Could be a very interesting game. Might be one worth attending live...

I wanted to go to that one but work commitments aka marriage lol !!

I think the Lions can do it, if they play that brand they were up until the last 3 games of the URC then it slipped away from them.
 
Between the Bulls and Lions, even though I'm a Lions fan, I think the Bulls have the better chance of causing an upset. Also depends on the teams that are picked.
