The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

Under-pressure All Blacks’ ‘speed the game up’ campaign rings hollow

The All Blacks want the world to play their way again. The problem is, the Boks worked out years ago that to be successful, they don’t have to.

With nine days to the first Test between the Springboks and All Blacks, the narrative coming from the New Zealand camp is screaming: “Speed the game up.”

There is a suggestion from the All Blacks coaching staff that they are the “saviours” of rugby, that theirs is the only style worth pursuing and that fans, administrators and most importantly, referees, should take the same view.

There is nothing the All Blacks would like more than for rugby to be played like it was in 2015 when they ruled the world with superior skills and superior conditioning.

I think it's more divine intervention from the big boss ( Rassie )

Let's be honest, they probs werent going to play for the Boks v the AB's unless something terrible happened to the players in front of them.

Releasing them also shows you that Rassie already has a Bok team on paper.
Think it's also because of the backlash online. Lots of people have said "Boks should have released some of the fringe players for these games" That voice just grew louder after the Sharks fiasco.

Well he just came back from injury... so it seems silly for him to play in a "friendly".

But geez he works hard and there is a silent panic every time he stumbles.
That Pumas game took a lot out of him in a good way, I didnt watch the game live but saw the highlights, they were defending like trojans at the end there, the defence was rock solid, from what I saw I could see all of them speaking to each other during that final few minutes, which is what you want ( communication )

I still think they should of had an SA club team ( URC players from each team ) then a Boks A game. Didnt really have to have all the franchises playing.

A game in Bloem and Nellers.

U18's SA 'A' 51 France 26... 3 from 3 from the 'A' side, really impressive.

U18 SA v England coming up at 3pm, that will easily be their toughest game of the tournament..

Saw lots of moaners on reddit this week complaining about it.
I have an older one I wear when the Boks play. My good luck Bok shirt.

I’m very voodoo when it comes to rugby. Like the stars need to alignment and stuff lol.

Wife hates it hahahaahah!
