Hi Afrihost Team, I am on a DNATel fibre line playing latency-sensitive multiplayer games (Apex Legends). I am getting massive random latency spikes up to 280ms. I ran a WinMTR trace to a European gateway, and my baseline to London is normally fine (158ms), but I am hitting a massive localized spike of 256ms right at internal hop 5 (100.127.7.33). This looks like a congested regional handover or an issue with the CGNAT/routing node on that specific pool. Could a network engineer please look into my routing path or move my connection to a different IP gateway/pool that bypasses this node?

Hi, can you post the MTR to start with?

I am playing Apex on Cool Ideas and Vumatel and ping is perfect. I played last night in fact for about 2 hours

Apex uses AWS so they pickup your traffic locally and carry it to AWS Europe so testing your international won't help you solve the problem with Apex as that traffic goes via their network locally.

This is the last ip responding and its 179ms.

Looking at stats along the way is insignificant unless continuous.

I have no idea how to diagnose this at ALL, used A.I to help me so far, the issue is mostly at random, one minute the ping feels stable the next you die bind cover and no reg enemy fire, look i know eu servers and theres nothing we can do about that 180 ms but the stutters? its not system related tho, def network, i did update all ethernet adapters and even tried lowering mtu size to see if it fixes it

Best to log and if you have let @AfriNatic have a look.

Was just going make thread about same issue on WOW/D4 in evenings. Both me and my friend stays in durbanville has the same issues, we use cable no wifi. Spike to 1800ms sometimes.

The issues is fixed if we use cloudfare vpn, but we prefer not having to use it.

Hi, also via DNATel as fibre provider?
