What game are you playing now? (Part 2)

^ Sounds like a game I should check out then. Haven't heard of it. Map looks small though for an open-world game...

hoping to find time to play Onimusha this weekend.

Maybe finish pragmata too since ive shelved that for a few months.

I like....Feels like I'm playing a mix of Witcher 3 and KCD2. Probably because it is old Witcher devs that made the game. First time this year I'm actually enjoying a game.
I'm finding it very mid so far

The story exists as an excuse for the game to exist. You are the protagonist, because the story needs one. That's it. You are turned, because the game required it, there was no logical reason for it

The dialogue animations are Witcher 1 level. Wooden, lack of life and no lip sync to speak of

It runs like ****, because it's Unreal engine, so of course it does

Locking you in place while blocking was a choice. A bad one

The UI is dreadful. Seriously. Witcher 3 UI is not great, but this is just fecking horrendous. What were they thinking?

All in all, some of the vampire abilities are cool (but of course the cool out of combat stuff drains stamina, because modern developers hate fun) they tried something new with the combat and it would've been great if they didn't lock you in place while blocking (yes, I am mentioning it twice, because it SUCKS) ruining the flow of combat

If you like Vampire RPG's, which is seriously lacking, I would give it a shot. don't expect a great game though. Passable at best
At least it is better than Bloodlines 2

Stalker 2 / Dawnwalker (already gave my feelings about that)

They did good work with V2.0. of Stalker 2. Don't have the DLC, but the base game experience is so much better
Feels a lot more like the old school Stalker games
Took them over a year, but they finally managed to optimize the dogshit Unreal engine and it runs so much better. Like, day and night better than release

If you gave it a miss I'd say now is the right time to jump in

Agree. Another thing I picked up after some more time with the game, is the 30 days and nights thing. It kind of messes up my exploration and side quest OCD.

Uninstalled for now
It's way too janky still and actually kinda boring

Find myself looking at my phone more and more during story dialogue and the last half an hour just outright skipped all the dialogue

It's just not interesting and needs a lot of patches
Quite bummed, because this hobby is getting expensive and think I should've gotten Onimusha instead
