Rain and storm for Cpt pt 2

It tried to drizzle about half an hour ago, but whatever moisture landed on the ground instantly evaporated.

The forked lightning last night from Kommetjie to Chapman's Peak was quite impressive. If I still had my DSLR (it was stolen in a burglary in 2015), I would have snapped some long exposures...

After sweating my ass off in the garden, I can see a storm is approaching from the north. It reminds me of summer weather in Gauteng with much less .

Forecasts are for the 'storm' to continue all night, so you may have more opportunity later.

Not much rain yet in Kenilworth, but very dark to the north, with semi-continuous rumbles of thunder, and occasional flashes of lightning.

That is the window of opportunity that his husband gives him...... hence it being red.

More on topic, I am totally disappointed in how little rain we have gotten.

I tried taking a few photos, but no luck so far. Very windy and wet on my balcony so I had to stop. P.S. My windows are not clean and streak free to take photos through.

Should be plenty pics floating around tomorrow given that the sky has basically been illuminated for the past 20 minutes! No wind here and just started raining.

The wrath of the Gods has been set upon Cape Town. It has been raining like crazy, with occasional lightning and thunder that scared the bejeezes out of me.

Just got some magnificent flashes of lightning here in the north!!!!!! I hope my water tank is finally going to be happy!
