What game are you playing now? (Part 2)

Anyone planning on taking part in the Wardogs Closed Beta playtest this coming weekend?

Wardogs launches tonight at 6pm.

Local Wardogs Discord channel.

Seems like they managed to purchase a server.

I think I'm going to hold off a few days and then unless something changes my mind I'll refund the game. I won't have the time to pour into Wardogs in order to make the most of it, especially with the regular resets they have planned.

Easily one of the best souls-likes ever.

The title sequence with that crazy guitar was just so good
Holy hells did the sesters in the Abbey give me a hard time. Between them and the vampire wretches that leap attack you they are the worst normal enemies. Rock throwers I figured out the sidestep shuffle.

Cleared all corrupted gates. Beacon cleansing is just so great. Some of them are such a refreshing change from the usual.

Have discovered the Citadel under the Keep.
After cleansing the 1st beacon there and then getting lost ......same vibes discovering how big that river well is in Elden Ring.

Given the enemies, the Ova collected already, i think i am near the end. There is so much I missed or didn't figure out.
Using Gragu now. Haven't even tried night mode, Smert, Genesta or Tiel. Game is made for NG+

I’ve just cleared Feinweld. All dungeons and corrupted gates.

25 hours in, Level 30 - My axe and dagger is level 12 I think, and the starting gun is level 10. Still haven’t changed weapons or shells

Just started Ruins of Mammon area. The enemies hit a lot harder there, which has honestly reinvigorated me ☺️

Agreed on the beacon cleansing - it’s just plain fun.

Learning Reentry

I'm in way over my head and have no idea what I'm doing.

Finished octopath traveller 2. Was a fun game, good improvement over 1.

Now playing blood of dawnwalker. Loving it so far.

I need to start something else. Mortal SHell's. final boss is my undoing, and I don't have the drive right now to respec another shell and grind for other stone upgrades to take him on differently. F that fire farting demon.

Think I will give Dune Awakening a try tonight

Still playing Mortal Shell 2

But I also saw that Witcher 3 is on sale on PS Store, so purchased that in preparation for the remaster

Been playing AC Mirage. Finally.

The game started off terribly tbh but the game really shines once you get to the city of Baghdad. It is imo one of the greatest cities in the entire series. Genuinely a stunning city and a large, dense city like this is what the series should be all about. The atmosphere is incredible, the sights, the sounds, the music and even the muslim prayers at dawn every single morning (something I would move far away from in real life lol). Love just going for a walk though its streets and back alleys.

Gameplay-wise the game has definitely gone back to the AC roots which I love. Stealth is great and it's something I wish would be the main focus of every game again.

My biggest problem with Mirage is that they've over-simplified the game. That and everything outside the city has been terribly designed and/or neglected. One of the best cities in the series but outside the city walls it is also one of the worst AC maps, if not THE worst. And it's really annoying how the devs are desperately trying to make these assassins the nicest, kindest people in the world. It's been their agenda for a while now. Basim couldn't be more different from the Basim you see in Valhalla.

Overall Mirage is far better than my least favourite games in the series but not anywhere close to the best like Unity, Syndicate or AC2. A step in the right direction but I hear Shadows have gone back the other way again which is a shame. At least Mirage is a massive improvement over Valhalla.

Last stretch in the final dungeon so will wrap this up tonight. Best rated game so far this year. Never thought I'd see the day. Extreme commitment makes these games extremely niche.

Will probably replay it.

Next game is a month away soo need something else. Will see what Steam sale has to offer in 2 days.

Bought Onimusha at the beginning of the month after having fun with the easy demo.

The demo is a lie, don't expect an easy hack and slasher. The real bosses in this game are much harder.
The final boss was probably the most difficult I've ever faced, I barely made it

10/10, time for some easy games now lol

Bouncing between AC Mirage and Psychonauts 2 on the deck, and some Dawn of War remastered on the PC.
