Rain and storm for Cpt pt 2

I find the Milnerton webcam very informative (for someone living in the Southern Suburbs).

It is a great view! My favourite camera, to gauge my area and the iconic Cape Town postcard view.

Further cameras around this area are one on Marine Drive at a robot at the harbour/freight area entrance ( some flooring company on YouTube hosts the camera), cool to see traffic, another at Sunset Beach, and one at Kite Beach as you enter from Dolphin Beach Hotel's side.

Another favourite of mine is Clifton 4th beach, amazing to see no wind there when we are blowing away here. The Tidal Pool camera at Brass Bell is also cool.

All on YouTube, nice on a big screen.

Agree.. this time of the year should be no PJs

We have only just passed the Equinox (23 Sep). In a maritime climate such as Cape Town, it takes about 6 weeks for temperatures to catch up. Sometime around 1 Nov should be a bit warmer, although the South Easter brings its own issues...

P.S. In autumn the delay works in the opposite direction, with with Equinox on 20 Mar, and the month of April often being pleasant, and it really only gets cold in May.

We had thunder and lightning last night, into the morning, I went down to the beach around 06H30 to walk mutts, the weather was warm humid and thunder clouds covered the skies above the damp dunes...

This weather is what I use to experience up on the Hochland when I lived in Windhoek, it is not coastal weather.

Amazing sunset just now, still hot and I see I can expect similar weather after midnight, this system is lingering....

14mm for Saturday Yr says. Let's see.

Changed from this morning's prediction, dramatically.

Unfortunately the prediction for CT on Wednesday was hopelessly wrong, so it is difficult to take these kind of forecasts literally. The best we can do is wait and see...

See:
Some weather reports saying 60mm tomorrow, others almost none....

Yeah, this is why predictions are for people who go into a career suited to their traits- this is an ideal career for a compulsive liar/thumb-sucker
