If your car is outside it's warranty , especially if over a decade old, don't be fooled by "pirate" parts are bad. Good parts are good parts, most share the exact same oem numbers even.
On my wifes car we did:
1. Spark coils
2. Fuel indicator unit
3. Pads
4. Redid the clutch but not sure if that has such part thing or not.
All times we used good "pirate" parts and car is going strong.
