So I have done 3 out of 4 quests for the month. The last one, Balance Protection Insurance, will give me an extra .56% earn rate up to the max they have offered for next month.
At a minimum in store utilities spend of R20k per month, that .56% would give me an extra R112 of cashback earn. BUT, I would owe at least R20k on every statement before I settle and at R5.50 per R1000 for the BPI insurance cover, that would cost me R110pm minimum.
Based on the above, the only way to make BPI work for you is to always pay off your transcations before the statement run so that you have your full credit available and owe them R0 when they email the statement. That's just too risky and too big a hoop to jump through for such a small reward.
