So I know one can have their modem dail the connection and let as many poeple as available LAN ports connect to the internet then. Defeating the 1 Concurrent Location"s" thing, although, what can be done when I want to set my modem to bridge mode and use a PPPoE connection on two PCs at my house hold?

From experience with axxess's shaped uncapped service, I wasn't able to use the connection on both PCs simultaneously(canceled it), unless I let the modem dial the connection. But now their unshaped lite ADSL caught my attention.

Any ideas?

On each PPPoE you get a new IP, so thats how / and why they limit you to 1 connection. I understand its to prevent a single account from being used at multiple locations, but sucks that you cannot use it on the same DSL circuit.

Also why do you not want your modem to dial out?

cuz then I wont be able to use Traffic Splitter, I'm planning on buying a 5Gb lite service from axxess and then I'll use up my telkom's 3GB of blended BW in the beginning of each month (Torren...) and then with Traffic Splitter use the remaining local BW (20GB) along with the 5GB axxess. But I still think it's silly restricting one adsl line to only one concurrent connection at a time.

I think the big problem is ip's. IS has a lot of connections. If they allow each account to connect 5 times from one adsl connection they will soon run out of ip's.

Yes they are dynamic but if you stay connected for 2 days those ip's are used for 2 days.

Anyways its only IS doing it cause Mweb allows many pppoe connections on one line on their uncapped accounts. Maybe they have a lot of ip's :)
