Put it this way then: since Shuttleworth is a South African, shouldn't he just say that it should be released 00:00 South African time? I know they won't, but wouldn't it be nice though? right now I'm feeling like a druggie needing something better...

It's kinda sad that there are release parties all over the world, yet nothing in South Africa; the place Ubuntu was forged. Kinda like the French celebrating Thanks Giving whilst the Americans sit around going "Turkeys? What are turkeys?"

Ok, I have a question (sorry for this slight detour in the thread), but anyone that has tried the beta or Rc from 8.04. Please tell me that ubuntu/kubuntu now has a gui to setup your pppoe, with an interface to choose your different connections from, without having to go through terminal, create a connection, copy, rename, copy back, repeat

The terminal way is not so bad man
Type pppoeconf
It opens the app
You say "Yes"
It searches by itself
You enter username and pass
Then you say "Yes", "Yes", "Yes", "Yes", "Yes", "Yes", "Yes" bla bla bla bla etc etc etc

The problem that I have with the terminal is that, you cannot see if the connection was successfull, pon returns a correct value, but that does not mean that it connected, I have found myself typing pon 5 to 6 times before I am connected
That is for dialup, with adsl you use pppoeconf, and with multiple connections you type a lot
