1 Meg ADSL

hmmm.. that's about R2600 more than it would be in the UK.. excluding line rental :)

I might get flamed and I don't care, but I really hate it when some of these peeps compare the UK with South Africa...WTF??? :mad:

UK = 1st world country
SA = 3rd world country

Get it? Good!

I wish you guys will go make comments on UK sites, cause that is where they belong. Stop rubbing the problems we are having with ADSL in our faces cause believe you me, we know about it and we are really upset about it. :mad:

I believe some of you guys will agree with me...if not...then I am probably the only one. :cool:

We are just stating how crap SA broadband and things need to change..........

We are only a 3rd world because of companies like Telkom that hold us back, that is why people compare us to other countries all the time. We could become a first world because we have the potential, just need to stop the likes of Telkom from holding us back, if that is at all possible :mad:

I agree with you. It's just makes me mad when I see what the other countries offer their internet users. Would be good if people would just stop reminding us about it, cause it is going to take some time before we are where they are...know what I'm saying? :(

South africa is not purely a 3rd world country, i would certainly not rate areas such as johannesburg, and more specificly the sandton area, as third world

Technically "3rd world" is a very "20th Century" saying, now we're classified as "developing".

Personally I rate countries like SA and Brazil as "2nd World" ;)

2 distinct economies, one part is formal first world and one informal 2rd world.

As said before while Telkom is an evil monopolist, it's the law and regulations that hold the country back by not allowing the free market to balance them out.
