Yeah, but how sweeeet... Not that dragging an icon into you Applications folder was difficult but this is just like IOS... Straight to the app folder and your dock :D

You need an appleID. Do you still need a US credit card to create one? (I have one created without a cc - funded by itunes gift cards).

The prices in the ZA mac app store are in USD. Are we going to be paying a premium as usual.

I like the buy once and use on all of your machines idea, but one of my macs is PPC and restricted to 10.5. How do I transfer purchases.

Anyone tried to buy any apps yet? Looks like there are some 50% off opening specials e.g. RapidWeaver etc.
 
Wait, there is an upgrade, now you has to fork out more monies indeirectly because of it?

This is easier than writing a highly entertaining massively multilayer online role playing game.
Methinks that Blizzard should just bring out WoWOS.
(Not that handing ~R100 over to Blizzard every month is good for me either)
 
The update is free and gives you access to the store app.

You can then buy apps from the store in the same way as you do for iPhone/iPad apps.

No one is forcing you to incur any cost.

It's just like iTunes... You can log in on a SA or US account... Gift Cards should be cool in the US store and if you have your credit card details on your SA store account you are billed exactly the same way.
I've noticed the "Top Paid", "Top Free" sections are different in the two stores but the apps generally look pretty much the same.

PS. Aperture 3 at $79.00... I paid $199.00 OUCH!
