Can someone explain to me how this works.

From Axxess:
10 day Rolling Window - If you're in Top 20% of IS users for the 384kbs, 512kbs and 1024kbs connection speeds, you will be shaped
User Policy applies 24/7, Weekends & Public Holidays
For the 4096kbps Accounts, if you're in Top 50% of IS users for this connection speed, you will be shaped

Exactly what does this mean? and how does it work?

After 10 days If I am in the top 50% of bandwidth users my net accessibility gets downgraded? and so forth for the month? Or it does not reset?

All info wanted please!

Axxess runs on IS/SEACOM.

The way I read that your net use will be evaluated. If you're one of the top users you will be limited for the next 10 days. I doubt it will be reset at monthend as they only mention a 10 day cycle

PS There have been other threads covering this topic & peoples frustrations as a result there of.

Thanks for the reply ChilliGirl.

Can anyone else provide any additional info?

Yes. It's a star system. 5 stars is no shaping and then
progresses downwards.

Also it doesn't zero at month end.

only now it really strikes me, but half of the 4mb users will always be shaped. that's harsh
