JOHANNESBURG – A 10 year old boy, who was reported missing in the Ramaphosa informal settlement on the East Rand on Sunday, has been found murdered and possibly raped.

Before his disappearance Siphamandla Madikane was last seen playing with his friends on Sunday night, around 7pm.

A missing person’s case was opened on Monday at the Reiger Park Police Station and police together with community members immediately started searching for the boy.

Police say his half burned and naked body was found in the bushes by a passerby in the township, with socks stuffed in his mouth and a used condom alongside his body.

The passerby, who had been walking on a pathway in the bush, immediately alerted police and the boy was identified.

Police are now requesting assistance from the Ramaphosa community to help find the perpetrator.

A case of rape and murder has been registered at the Reiger Park Police Station for investigation.

Jeebers .... what is happening to our society? And then someone asked me in that whale thread how can you have more compassion for a animal than a human being? Because we are capable of pure fcking evil! That is why!

Heartbraking ..... I do feel very very sorry for the parents of this boy. They will never be the same people again.
 
The partly burnt body of an eight-year-old boy has been found in a field in the Ramaphosa informal settlement on the East Rand, police said on Tuesday.

"The boy was found dead with socks stuffed in his mouth and a used condom was found next to his body," said Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng.

The eight-year-old was reported missing on Monday at the Reiger Park police station.

He was last seen on Sunday evening playing with friends in the area.

His body was found on Monday afternoon by a man walking past the field in Ramaphosa. He alerted the police.

"The body matched the description of the boy who was reported missing earlier on Monday," Mofokeng said.

A case of rape and murder had been opened. No arrests had been made.

The police appealed for any information that could help them find the perpetrator.

Poor kid :( Hope the perps are dealt with by the community before the police.

Who leaves their 10 year old outside unattended as late as 7pm?, maybe if they cared a little more this would have avoided. Hopefully this poor little boys death will be a lesson that other negligent parents can learn from.

And this is the times that we live in people....where parents gets blamed because their child was raped and murdered! How sad. Same when the lady that used to cut my hair told me she was mugged while in her car at a robot ... but it was HER FAULT because she had her window open....her own words to me! WTF. NO ... IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!! You did not deserve to have your child raped and then murdered .... and you did not deserve to get mugged because you had your god damn fcking window open! These mother fckers took it upon themselves to harm you .... it was their choice .... not yours!

Jesus .... the mentality that our society is getting.....not only are the law protecting these fckers more than us .... but now we ourselves are taking the blame for crimes committed AGAINST US! FCK THAT!

Maybe they should have told him to come inside sure .... does that mean they did not care? NO .... I dont think so.

I used to play outside as a kid until 9 or 10 pm at night. I long for the day when South Africa will be like that again.

Never! That day will never come in South Africa not in my or my kids lifetime!

I long for the days you could just go out window shopping! We again need stricter laws, law enforcement, death penalty (with proper law procedures) and better leadership!

Back in the early 90's it was perfectly safe for a small group of girls to be the last ones left on the beach in the wee hours of the morning. Now not even the boys are safe.
