And this is the times that we live in people....where parents gets blamed because their child was raped and murdered! How sad. Same when the lady that used to cut my hair told me she was mugged while in her car at a robot ... but it was HER FAULT because she had her window open....her own words to me! WTF. NO ... IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!! You did not deserve to have your child raped and then murdered .... and you did not deserve to get mugged because you had your god damn fcking window open! These mother fckers took it upon themselves to harm you .... it was their choice .... not yours!

Jesus .... the mentality that our society is getting.....not only are the law protecting these fckers more than us .... but now we ourselves are taking the blame for crimes committed AGAINST US! FCK THAT!

Being aware of the prevalence of crime, one ought to take the necessary precautions to safeguard yourself and your family. Of course it does not mean you will never fall victim to crime, it simply means you make it a little more difficult for the criminal to choose you as their next victim.

I take your point ... and I say:

Yes ... you can try and be safer .... but you will never be safe in this country no matter how hard you try! People are held hostage in their own homes even with the high walls and electric fencing. The fact is we should not have to wall ourselves in. We as a society are getting a mentality of rolling over and asking for forgiveness for not putting my car window up in 30 degree heat .... or because our children were out playing @ 7 in the evening instead of sitting in front of the frekking TV. But yes .... let us blame ourselves and our kids for being raped, murdered, mugged and tortured. Shame on US for not doing enough to protect ourselves .... because clearly we were obviously just asking for it.
