Hi 1 and all, I think I know the answer to this 1 but let's make sure:

2 PCs with XP
8 port HUB
(old) Telkom ADSL POTS Router - the original one that we got from the start 2 years or more ago?
UUNET

since we upgraded from 512 to 1024 recently, we seem to be losing the ADSL connection ALL the time - Telkom is no help (no suprise there), can it be that the router is just not up to the task? maybe a setting that must change?

Thanks in advance
B

I have the original modem to and it operates fine at 1024 speeds. You probaby have a problem with your line. The 1024 speed will only enhance the fact that there is an error on your line as more of the frequency ranges are being used. I recommend logging a fault and getting a techie over. Another thing you can try is to take you telephone cable, remove it from the surge protector and place it directly into the modem. This might help.
