Hello everyone :P

I want to find out what is the best(cheapest) ISP to get 10GB on a 4mbps line?

I currently have the Webafrica Complete 5gb package plus the incredible package that came with a laptop which gives me a total of 10GB of data per month, but at the end of this month the Incredible will be finished leaving me with only 5gb per month which is not enough.

I thought of carrying on with webafrica but all their packages give evening GB's which will NEVER be used.

So my second thought was Afrihost, is afrihost worth it with their problems that they had previously, or can you recommend another provider that won't cost more than R600

Regards
Peder

You forgot the line rental in the R 554.00!!!

Of course. But he already has a telephone line.

Download Speed

Up to 4/10 Mbps(1)
Monthly Data Allowance

20 GB blended + 30 GB local only(2)
Cost

R554.00 per month(3)
+ Telkom Line Rental

R139.97 per month(4)
Total Cost

R693.97 per month(5)

Ti is the best and i can vouch for OW aswell, they got their 4MB Standard uncapped (yes more than 20GB, infact no limit :p) at R459.00 p/m (data only), you can maybe ask Keoma (CEO) for a test account before getting one.

Offer on frontpage

PS
i realise you want a 10GB capped account but also note the pricing between a capped and uncapped account are very close hence the suggestion :)

Afrihost took over Axxess last year and I haven't noticed any decrease in the performance of the Axxess R19/GB account(s), a 5GB/mth account would cost you R95 (I have a couple of these for backup).

That said, if it's not too much hassle for you to change, I find the Telkom offering more stable.

The only problem i have is that for some reason i can't always access www.houseofmyglory.com on telkom internet which is my church's website, and could mean that i would not move to telkom for that reason

I can access the front page and back end, but once i goto the calendar it won't open, if there is a setting i can make i would happily move over to telkom internet...

Just tested, calendar works perfectly using TI capped, Fedora Linux, Firefox :)

i don't have R300 extra atm, i used my parents 20GB TI and it didn't work a few mins ago...

Edit: just checked its not working :/

Do you possibly have extra DNS settings? Its really strange how some of the site works and the backend works but the rest doesn't...

Calendar too - click on a date/event it gives a "more details, copy to my calendar" popup which I assume means it's working :)

Edit: just checked and it seems TI aren't doing any funny routing:
