128GB SSD

Strangely enough I'm selling a Sammy sata 2 128gb ssd for R1500 at the moment, pm me if you want :)

Seems rather high if it is the same one i got with that special about 2 years ago.

Still going strong but i would not pay 1.5k for a 2 year old sammy ssd. If you find a buyer it will be a miracle :D

Honestly I don't know if it was bought on a special or anything, just got it from a friend yesterday in a trade deal :)

Ah the circle of trust, you're either in it or not :D

Hehe true..

But I don't know.. you get all kinds of people in this world.. (Not saying anything directed to the guy who IS selling the SSD.. Just saying.. :P )

Lol, but you'll always get a guy who will pay any price :) But anyway :D

Hey guys..

I saw another SSD that isn't bad, but the this is...

The cache...

Instead of 128MB it's a 64MB

So I just want to know what this Cache is.. and if it IS lower (Like this case) what will happen?

Thanks

Cache = Fast temporary storage space

Usually more cache results in a faster drive, but this isn't always the case.

Could you rather post a URL/details of the drive, because the cache size doesn't mean anything to us.

FORCE SERIES 3

Corsair Force 3 SSD SATA3: (write/read in mb/s)

60GB can be had for around R1400 (w550r490)
90GB for R1900 (w550r500)
120GB for R2250 (w550r510)
240GB for R5k (w550r200)

90GB looks best. Damn tempting.

These little beasties will require SATA3 though. Awesome :)

its a waste if you going to upgrade your mboard just for the SATA3. SATA2 is good enough for now.
Wootware's prices are better then that

If you're near Somerset West (~30km from Cape Town), then you can always go and collect the items yourself, which I've done a few times from Stellenbosch.

Um.. Don't have the URL, cause I saw it on a price list.. but um.. can give you the SSD that i'm looking at :)

Um.. yeah.. someone also posted something like this before..

But told him/her that I don't have Sata 3.. And the mobo i'm using is still new.. so not going to upgrade mobo anytime soon.. so kind of a waste to get a Sata 3 SSD :(

Awesome..

Do you know how long it takes after an order until ready for collection?
