13th Salary, How does it work?

I've been on my company's 2nd payroll since November, usually my company pays the 13th salary in December. Will I get double pay, or just 8.33% more?

I could ask HR, unfortunately they speak a different language which I cannot comprehend.

What language do they speak? Perhaps i can translate it for you?
 
If i understand it correcly you only get it if you work there for 12 months or longer.
 
You only get one salary. AS for the 13th cheque it works differently from company to company, you will have to ask your HR department.

Brazilians are way too proud to have anything in English. It's one of few countries that I've been to that won't compromise on lunguage, I will ask one of our lawyers to look up at my contract, they speak good English.

Well my sisters husband speaks Portuguese it is his second language but I'll ask him for you.

The policy on 13th cheques varies so much between companies that the only people who can answer your question is the HR department.

Personally I would plan on not receiving a bonus, that way if you do receive one it will be a pleasant surprise.

our company was doing so badly , no raises and stuff , we though we might not get one. Lucky we did. :)

I don't work in SA, the company I work for is based in Switzerland. In the OP I said that I was put last month on a 2nd Payroll, salary payments in Brazil must be localised(Mandatory by government), so what I'm paid here in Brazil is my 2nd income.
 
Spoken to my sisters husband and he says he is happy to do the translating for you

Is your work place predominately anglophone or lusophone / how anglophone is your work place? Surely you must have some sort of Portuguese speaking liaison?

where i work you can choose to have the 13th cheque paid out in december or spread out throughout the year monthly.
