I changed my Corsa B key and barrel and got the original key cut to fit the new barrel but now the car won't start? What options do I have to get it moving again?

They have an immobilizer built into the key don't they?

Was that changed on the car side too or just the barrel?

What options do I have to get it moving again?
1) Push it yourself.
2) Push it down a hill.
3) Get someone else to push it, preferably your SO.
:p

Can you be a bit more specific on exactly what you did?
So state of car before you did the "change" and why you did the change. A who would also be nice.

The parts guy at the local GM dealer once told me the keys have a chip in. I'm guessing the corresponding chip reader was in the old barrel. You will likely have to have it programmed like zizo911 suggests.

Is Opel Corsa:
- a mobile? yes!
- broadband? rather compact. :)

Those cars have an RFID transponder in the key, the ignition barrel reads it and sends it to the ECU. If the ECU is happy with the code it starts the car. Not sure what will be the cheapest here, but you might want to opt for an after-market ECU that does not have that security feature.
