1GB Dissapeared

Hi There

I advised a friend to go for 8ta's 2gb + 1 promo. After a few days his data was depleted. He told me that although he did some heavy downloads it was nothing close to 2 gb. He then called the customer service and they could not give him a reason why his data was gone. He asked them to send him the stats of his usage.

I had a look at the usage of the stats is did an excel sum ... he was cut off from 8ta on 1Gb.

What can he do to get his 1 GB back that was stolen by 8ta?

Have a look at the Stats and tell me if I am wrong.

Hi Kamnandi!

Please can you email these stats to us and include the 8ta number in question? Dropbox is blocked from our LAN. We would like to assess our logs and provide feedback. We are able to see the break down of usage and if data is missing, we will replace it with pleasure.

It seems that your friend's data has expired. He got the bundle on 22/03/2012. This then expired on 31/04/2012 at 23:59. As per the FAQ's here:
How long is the bundle valid for?
The 2GIG + 1GIG Promo bundles will expire at the end of the next calendar month from the date of activation.

I had a very similar thing when I signed up for the 10gb package. After two weeks my 10gb were gone. I came from a CellC 2gb package which was fine so I found it very strange that 10gb was used in 2 weeks.

I contacted my local 8ta branch and were told that they couldn't give me any usage stats so I didn't have a leg to stand on and wrote it off. After reading this I would appreciate some help looking into this. If I used it fair enough, but if not then there is an issue.
Please 8ta rep can you assist.

I am finding my 60 + 60 gb is also being used up at an astronomical rate. I also came from cell c 2gb which easily lasted me the month with change. Now I have already used 6gb in my first month on 8ta without having done much more than I used to. I am going to install netlimiter to verify that my data isn't being over measured by 8ta

Please send us an email with your 8ta, ID and contact numbers and advise which month your are querying so we can provide you with the data you request.
