So I'm looking to change ISPs...

I'm trying to decide between Mweb and OpenWeb Standard for a 1mbps uncapped service. I've trial'd both accounts and both are giving me stable 110Kb/s downloads.

So now the question: Mweb or OpenWeb?

Ps. I can't go higher than R200pm for the account, hence OpenWeb Standard Uncapped is my highest choice from them.

The Openweb standard 1mb account download nicely but Xbox online gaming is not great. Fifa particularly.
Dont know of the Mweb account though. Might be the same.

Well MWEB makes gaming 1st priority ...so during business hours your gaming will have no lantecy problems..

Mweb for gaming and openweb for downloading but both will work great.

Mweb also give you 300 WiFi minutes free with every Uncapped account.

Something I find myself using quite regularly.

Good Afternoon JasDan

Please let me know if you have already tested the MWEB network via a FREE 7 Day trial account. If not, please send me your contact details via private message and I will hook you up. ;)

I have already taken out a trial account with Mweb. Results were quite positive, however I am just surveying my options before committing to anything.

Mweb hates it when you SSL, so be warned.

Why you wouldn't go with OW, I can't tell you.

Oh and OW is unshaped on the weekends.

Oh and you get DATA BASED free wifi, not minutes. (Minutes are a dumb idea. If you sit at a coffee shop for lunch hour every day for 21 working days a month, that is 1260 minutes. Mweb gives you what? Five hours a month?)

Oh and there are no usage based throttling protocols.

Oh and you get direct access to the CEO of openweb on the MyBB forum.

Is it even a competition?

If you planning in actually using your uncapped, then OpenWeb.
If however you don't mind restricting yourself from using it, then MWeb.

Overall... OpenWeb are one solid ISP. Cannot fault them anywhere.

Openweb bro - but I'd personally just bite the bullet and add R29 for GOLD man!

what's R29 buy you these days, huh? 2 bottles of Coke?
