Only 2.5" 1TB HDD manufacturers are Samsung, Toshiba & Western Digital.
Keep in mind to check the height of the HDD as some are thicker and won't always fit where required.

A friend bought a Samsung 1TB 2.5" external drive from Game last week for R1250. Not too bad a price so the internal should be a little cheaper. I'm thinking of swapping out my 320GB drive as well for a larger one. I've read that most of the 2.5" drives over 640GB are a little thicker and may not fit some laptops so check full specs before buying.

Current best deal I can find is at Makro for R999 for the 1TB 2.5" external. Does anyone know of a better deal at the moment? Not looking for a 500GB, already have one of those and need to upgrade.
