2 + 2GB Billing Question

was just charged R170 (R85 x 2) on this account additional to the R150 per month...
why? because vodacom wrote down the bank account number incorrectly from the bank invoice which was presented when applying for the contract.

so nothing was deducted at all then because of the error on vodacom's side, they said that they'd deduct "everything" on Tuesday, hope everything means just the R150 because im not paying R170 for vodacom's error.

PM me the number and I will have a look @ what will be deducted and advise you accordingly.

I am not going to debate this. I have learned on mybb that you can try and explain why things are done a certain way until you are blue in the face and you will still not get your point across. I have explained how it works...why it works that way and that is all I can tell you guys.

OC

No need to debate it, Vodacom can send me 4 SMS'es, 1 MMS, encouraging me to come in and upgrade my personal phone contract, this week, and 2 SMS'es for the 2G+2G deal. My contract has been due for the last 6 months. But it is not possible (desirable) by Vodacom to send their client an SMS on the 1st of the last full month of the contract, and the 1st of the last part month of the contract, reminding them that their contract ends on the 17th of the month, and that the following options are available and desirable, and possible consequences. Vodacom deems it more profitable to themselves to do otherwise.

For the last 6 months, I have gotten SMS'es from almost every Vodacom outlet, including GAME, and twice weekly from one or the other VodaShops in town encouraging me to come in and upgrade, if the one is possible, then so is the other.

End of story - no debate.

Disconnect and reconnect please. It is the same as when you are on a call and you are on the Weekender package where your minutes are for off peak only. If you start the call at 19:59 then that entire call will be billed for instead of being taken off your included minutes. The billing system cant switch to and from bundles on the fly.

VodacomData....please will you just confirm? Not sure if it has since changed but this is basically what my training taught me years ago...perhaps it has since changed.

Don't you bill on 2Meg segments or is that only prepaid? Anyways I've gone online a few times at 23:00 - 03-00am playing HoN without disconnecting where the cap reflected +- 30 Normal vs 120 Nightowl, so it appears to switch over automatically without delay.

Occie, My SO was deducted by vodacom R89 one/two days ago - I thought they are supposed to deduct at month end?

Hello Keeper...Vodacom SP lately runs the debit order for the pro rata charges within 24 - 48 hours. The reason for this is to help prevent the client from having to pay a double whammy with their first debit order. Previously...the pro rata activation charges would have been added with the next months full subs + plus then whatever usage they did for this month and that would then go off with a single debit order the next month. Depending on that package you took...this could = a substantial amount. To prevent this the pro rata is now deducted 24 - 48 hours after activation. It is also stipulated in the activation form that the consultants are supposed to have you sign off when you sign the contract explaining about the debit order and auto call limits.
