Does anyone have a 2.5" to 3.5" ATA converter that they wouldn't mind giving or selling to me?
I have an ATA 2.5" laptop hard drive, and I desperately need some way to get the data off... I don't have a suitable laptop available to plug it into. An external enclosure would also do the trick.
Thanks
just keep in mind, you cannot plug a 2.5" IDE laptop drive into a desktop PC, the IDE connectors are different.
Your best bet is to take the drive to a Computer store and ask for a 2.5" IDE-to-USB casing. That way you got a nice USB powered portable drive and get your data off
Hop in the car and pick one up in PE. They're not expensive.Does anyone have a 2.5" to 3.5" ATA converter that they wouldn't mind giving or selling to me?

Bump
USB type won't work. Dodgy drive needs native IDE interface.
