2 accounts on one adsl line

ok another ?,now how do i manage 2 international account 1 prepaid axxess account and one telkom account with one adsl line and 2 pc's connected to the router.????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/
 
put the router/modem in bridge mode and let each pc dial out to the respective ISP with a pppoe connection

which model modem do u have?

for a step to step guide on howto create a pppoe connection with your adsl username and password: Go to help and support centre ( assuming you are running windows XP ) and search for pppoe...follow those steps

I hope this isn't a threadjack:

We have a Sainet account, configured in our Telkom ADSL router's settings. Since we hit our cap on Saturday, I went out and bought a prepaid Axxess voucher at the nearest Engen. I got home, created a PPPoE connection in Windows and was connected a minute later.

I didn't change anything on our router, since I wasn't sure where or how exactly to configure bridging mode.

Sum modems (like yours) can make the PPPoE connection itself and still allow other pc's to make their own PPPoE aswell...I have never used this type of modem before im speaking from what i've heard/read....

But with my modem and probably dablakmark8's..... I need to choice whether or not the modem is in bridge mode or PPPoE mode
dablakmark8's, can you access your modem from your web browser with the address 192.168.1.1 or 10.10.10.1????.... your pc needs to b in the same ip range
 
yes from the other pc not connected to the modem directly,the pc i am on is lanned on to the modems/routers lan 2 port
but i can access the panel 10.0.0.xxx
its askes me for a username and password.
the problem is this if i buy a prepaid then the smtp server changes for outgoing mail.
I dont want to set the smtp again on the main pc for outgoing mail.that one is used for telkom.

Ok yeah u will need 2 change your smtp for out going mail...

When it asks you for a username and password u need to enter it....i'm not sure what the default keywords are tho....probably admin/admin but im not sure.......

Once u are inside the modem you need to look around the settings... You need to put the modem into bridge mode......I am not familiar with your model so sum1 else will have to direct you as to were the setting is located

? :confused:

Why does your email software's SMTP config have to change when you're using a different ISP?

Surely as long as you are logging into your normal ISP's mail-servers, you should be able to send mail?
