Seen some of these around, but i dont see it as an option on VW's website. Is it more or less expensive than the 4 door, and does it come in 1.6 ?

No more 2-doors Polos available from new. It was called the Polo GT in the UK, where you also cannot buy it anymore since the new 2009 model is already available for purchase.

Fsck you VWSA.

1.9tdi moves very very well. Lovely car. I like diesel cars, i dnt like the quality of diesel in SA. Its the quality of our diesel that causes diesel cars to give problems. Almost bought a Ford Focus 2.0tdci, only reason i didnt is our crappy diesel quality.

I gooi diesel from our local truck stop into our 2 TDi's for nearly 5 years. Currently R7.17 a liter which is waaaay below what other stations sell it for.

No problems whatsoever with the cars. Maybe a little more smoke under hard acceleration but that's it.

Don't mind 2nd hand, i just mind Diesel. In fact i will probably buy a 2nd hand car when i do finally get one. Anyone have the book price on the Polo 1.6 comfortline for 2007,2008 and 2009 models ?Anyone know of a place where i can look them up online? I think they have a book here at the work library but that is quite a mission!

I hear they are selling some very good low sulphur diesel (cities only). Might be worth checking out.

Ahhh... 2 doors are seriously overrated... a mate of mine has a 2 door fiesta, it's nothing but a hassle when you have more then 2 people in the car.

99% of the driving will be with no more than 2 people... I think it looks a lot nicer that the 4 door.

I got one, and I love it. any reason why you dont like diesels? you can find good ones second hand for not bad money. not really anymore expensive to run than a petrol either.

Don't like them, low revving and needs to be in first a lot, not my style.

Looking to buy a car to keep for a year and a bit (till the new 3 series comes out) and i dont wanna buy spend tooo much. I know if i look 1.4 i will end up over revving that thing till it breaks (my tazz 1.3 is not too happy with me). I think the middle range 1.6, with reasonable price and should have quite a good resale value. I am not planning on doing too many kms either, i live quite close to work. I do mission on the weekends, but not that much.
