2 gmail accounts - how do i check both regularly

Ok, i've got my main gmail account which i check a thousand times during the day/night. I also have another gmail account that i use for other kuk.

My main account does check my kuk account, but only every 1 and a half hours or so. Thats aint good, and to log-out and to login to the kuk account just to check mail is a pain.

Is there an easier way to check the kuk account. I cant seem to open both accounts at the same time for some reason. My main account is always open (using opera).

You can forward your other account to your main account?

But I suppose you want to keep them separate?

Slap the Gmail java app on your cellphone and check the kuk one from there.

PM me your 2 email addresses(No password needed) and I'll rig up a portable thunderbird that you can store on your flashdisk when I get home

There are several ways to do this...

1) Get a Firefox Extension called Gmail Manager that lets you check two accounts.
2) Use two different Browsers to check the two different accounts (IE & Firefox or Opera). They can both be signed in at the same time.
3) Use a Mail Program such as Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail to receive mail from your other Google account.

Mmmm, um, thanks to you all for thoughts/ideas/suggestions/comments and stuff.

I had thought of using FF to try and check the kuk account, and i think i'll go with that, this will be best for me.

there is an easier way: forward all your x.gmail mail to your y.gmail mail and create a filter that sends it to another folder. That's what I do to keep my work and personal stuff seperate, ie all my company mails are filtered "select all where <from> is <[email protected]> and send to <[email protected] folder>. It's easy to do in gmail.

Dunno what the limit is but it will alert of new emails etc

Gmail has IMAP and POP so you can use any of the gazzillion apps out there to check your mail. I don't see where the problem is.
