Ok ladies and gentelmen

im sitting with a problem i for the life of me cant fix

ive tried a billion 5200 and now have a dlink DSL-254OU, both of them seem to have the same problem i cannot connect to the net after i have put in my login details for telkom

but if i plugg my friends Siemans Giga 762SX into my telephone line the internet works like a charm

also when i try dial up using both other modems, i constantly sit 'connecting through wanminiport'

The billion and the Dlink both show sync lights and internet lights

so if anyone has any idea or has experienced the same problem before, pls let me know it will be much appreciated

:D
Kind Regards
ME

Try configuring the DSL-2540U and the Billion 5200 in bridge mode and then dial the Telkom account from a PC.

There are numerous problems that could've caused the other 2 routers to "malfunction":
1) incorrect VPI/VCI setting. Correct one should be 8/35
2) DNS issues - like when you can access http://64.233.179.104/ but not http://www.google.co.za/
