How many members here have either:

1) Gone to a local soccer match?
2) Support a local soccer team?
 
ok, follow up questions:

your reasons?
do you generally support soccer?
do you go to any other local sports?


Thanks, this is something i've been wondering about for a while.
 
went to a sundowns vs chiefs match with some buddies from work @ loftus - was amazing, a brilliant experience.. went 2 months later with another friend to rugby match (SA vs NZ) and I have to admit it was WAY more organised and easier getting into and out of the stadium with the soccer match, actually enjoyed the soccer better too..

Even if they played decent soccer those vuvuzelas would keep me very far away :sick:
 
1) Yes
2) used to, but I lost interest once I started watching European soccer. The local game seems to have degenerated in the last few years. There were specific players that I used to love and hate watching, now they've all faded away.

Don't really go to many live games, but I watch a lot of rugby on TV. Maybe I'll make plans for the Super 14 next year...
 
1. Yes. - I've attended lots of games.
2. Yes. - Chiefs, although i do have a soft spot for Celtic since i'm originally
from the Free state. I actually get a little confused as to which
team to support when watching the two play.:D
 
1) No. But I have been to a match in Italy.
2) No. I support FC Internazionale( Inter milan for those who only know the english name).

Don't care for local soccer at all.

1) Yes, every chance I get, when my team is playing, and every now and then to entertain clients.
2) Bloem Celtic, SIWELELE SA MASOKOLARA!!:D
 
Yes But SA vs Brazil, Pirates vs United, Chiefs vs United, Chiefs vs Tottemham. Do those count?

I support Pirates.... ye not sure why, but just to support some one, wont put a sticker on my car!:p

Since their demise I have been supporting Mamelodi Sundowns also for their beautiful shoe-shine and piano carpet football.
